Doctor Harold toboggans came to Memphis eager to tackle (often quite literally) the volunteers, social entrepreneurs, and other “do-gooders” that infuse the city with hope and other dysfunctions. He brought his many questionable (and expensive) therapies to bear on the problem but ultimately could not prevail against the compassion, and community spirit that pervades the city like a bad infection.
